SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.)
STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably.
FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone.
COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.

When I bought my table & chair set several years ago, I didn't anticipate getting older. It was after my husband broke his foot and couldn't get up from the kitchen table, I began looking for a company that might still be making this model of a chair style with the arm rests. We absolutely LOVE the chairs. I put little socks on the end of the chair legs to prevent the cuffing on the floor and easier to move the chair away to or from the table My sister gave the idea to buy little baby socks from the Dollar Store. Ordering furniture without seeing it in person requires a bit of faith. Countryside was recommended to me by my sister, her dining table turned out great. I was on the hunt for the perfect mid-century bedroom set that would be built to last. I settled on the Cove City very quickly but I needed help when it came to wood and stain choice.
