I just wanted to tell you what a pleasure it was ordering furniture from Countryside Amish. We had never done this in the past and were a bit nervous but you made us very comfortable. Then all was delivered last week and we are so very happy with the look and quality of the craftsmanship! Absolutely gorgeous! So much so that I just ordered another piece to match that room! We purchased a king size Wyndham slat bed. It is even more beautiful than the catalog images. The quality is the very best, that is what we expected and that is what we received. The construction is engineered beautifully and I am sure our five children will all want this treasure of workmanship as the centerpiece of their inheritance.

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.

The craftsmanship on the table and chairs was first class. A table of just the right size in a small dining room but still looks premier in quality and stature.
