Round Oak Pedestal Table

Shown with a solid 42" top, the Hattiesburg Pedestal Table is also offered in a 48" diameter with the ability to accept a pair of leaves on gear-equalizing slides. An angular single pedestal base supports a 1" thick round top wrapped with a steambent hardwood apron. Your Hattiesburg Pedestal Table is top coated with a catalyzed conversion varnish to provide years of worry-free use.

Regal in solid Oak with a hand-rubbed Winter Bark wood finish, the Hattiesburg Pedestal Table will be handcrafted and stained to your liking. Request wood finish samples to view at home before making a final style decision and Countryside Amish Furniture will see that your table is made-to-order.

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.

I was very pleased with the delivery and table. The man kept in touch with me for efficient delivery and put it together pleasantly. I like the table very much. However the other day I heard a metal sound like something had dropped on the floor, and I found a screw from the table. So my son will lay on the floor, look up and reinsert that screw carefully. Yes, I'd give you five stars!
