Finger Lakes Table

We knew in advance about the enduring quality of the furniture at Countryside Amish but the beauty of the design and the wood itself is a whole other experience in the context of our home. And "white glove" doesn't even begin to describe the gentle, meticulous manner in which the set was delivered and assembled. We expect that future generations of family will revere this furniture as an unmatchable heirloom.

Very nice well finished dining room set

The table is gorgeous! The artistry that went into the table is just amazing! This is the most beautiful table we have owned. It is lovely! I love having friends and family over for meals -- so all can enjoy it!

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.

Beautifully made, lovely to look at, and comfortable

I just wanted to tell you what a pleasure it was ordering furniture from Countryside Amish. We had never done this in the past and were a bit nervous but you made us very comfortable. Then all was delivered last week and we are so very happy with the look and quality of the craftsmanship! Absolutely gorgeous! So much so that I just ordered another piece to match that room! I wanted to let you know that the entire experience and the resulting table have been fantastic! The table was customizable to my exact specifications, it was ready in half the time quoted, the delivery experience was well coordinated and carried out by a skilled furniture delivery person (no freight carrier), and the table is STUNNING and made with a more durable finish than any major online or brick-and-mortar furniture store…even those that are far more expensive.
