Narrow Dining Room Table

A rounded rectangle top softens the corners of your Killarney Narrow Dining Table. At its smallest, this hardwood dining table is 42" x 60" and perfect for your eat-in kitchen or breakfast nook. At its largest, with the addition of twelve 12" expansion leaves, this kitchen room table is 48" x 216" and will seat 18-22 adults for family dining. Mortise and tenon joinery, heavy hanger bolts, and the most durable top coat on the market ensure a long life for this Amish-made table.

Additional Information:

  • Apron is 4 1/2" and arches to 2 1/2"; Floor to apron clearance is 26 1/2"H.

  • Up to 8 leaves adds one center leg; 9 or more adds 2.

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.

I was very pleased with the delivery and table. The man kept in touch with me for efficient delivery and put it together pleasantly. I like the table very much. However the other day I heard a metal sound like something had dropped on the floor, and I found a screw from the table. So my son will lay on the floor, look up and reinsert that screw carefully. Yes, I'd give you five stars!
