Timmins Outdoor Trestle Table

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and the craftsmen there who made the beautiful curio cabinet for us. The delivery was also done in a professional way. Even though we had to wait for the furniture for almost 12 weeks, my wife and I are very satisfied in the end. It perfectly matches the decor of our living room and displays our coveted possessions beautifully.

I just received our customized Cancun console (we had ordered it 10" longer, 5" of length added to each of the end cabinets) and it is spectacular! The whole console is extremely heavy and solid in the best possible way, and it just looks fantastic. We had it done in brown maple with the Kettle Black finish which is a great color with the most subtle hint of wood grain visible underneath, really nice! I can't recommend this piece enough, the entire ordering/customization process through Countryside was seamless.

I LOVE the hutch and the dining table. While I can't show it off at this time, the few people who have seen it fell in love with it as much as I did. The gentlemen who delivered and assembled everything were polite, friendly, and efficient. I purchased several pieces of living room & entryway furniture a little over a year ago. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the sales rep that worked with me, the quality of the furniture, and the meticulous way the delivery man brought in each piece of furniture and inspected it to make sure there wasn't any damage. I didn't find a single ding or scratch on any of the 5 pieces that I purchased. I have recommended Countryside Amish Furniture to numerous friends!

SIZE: My wife and I love our table. We're a large, nuclear family (four children). We eat together at least once a day; we play lots of board games, and there's lots of homework! Our extended family lives nearby so we wanted a table large enough to seat them. Once the two leaves are out, we can seat 10 comfortably. (Maybe 12 ... if they really like their neighbors.) STYLE: We liked this table for its simplicity and traditional Japanese (through tenon and trestle legs) look. Our children tend to make lots of messes so working around the feet is easy (Roomba is more thorough as well). We also like the ability to fit chairs where the legs rest, comfortably. FIT FINISH: The table is well made. The finish is even, hard, and beautiful. We chose Oak with Winter Bark to contrast our natural hickory floors. I have two complaints. The first is the joinery where the two edges meet in the middle. There's a slight bow in the middle which causes a 1/16th gap on each end. Not a huge deal, and to be expected from handmade furniture. My second issue is the through tenon. It's not real. The ends are faux covers to hide the bolts that hold the table together. The description even states "mortise & tenon trestle". I may end up making my own someday when the warranty and kids are gone. COMPANY: They're very communicative and friendly. The delivery company set up the table and made sure it was level and we were happy. We'll be buying from them again.

What a reminder of true craftsmanship -this is truly a beautiful desk. The wood is rich and warm, and smooth as silk. I'm so glad I came across Countryside Amish furniture. I really disliked the manufactured wood and veneers that seem to be everywhere these days. The cost and wait were well worth it for the quality.
